3 Business Ideas To Start In The New YearThis year has been an uncertain one for all of us, many people are re-evaluating their career paths and looking for other forms of income. If you are one of these people you might be considering starting your own business in 2021. If you already have an idea of what your business idea is, that’s great, but if you are struggling on finding your passion then take a look at our list below to see if any of our ideas get you inspired.

Virtual Assistant

If you have experience in administration or being an assistant then you could think about becoming a self-employed virtual assistant. With many businesses having to operate from employees’ homes, it can be hard for business owners to keep up with the admin that’s spread over various locations leaving them overwhelmed. This is where you come in, contact businesses that you think might benefit from having a virtual assistant. Once you become established and are freelancing for multiple companies you can look to start growing or outsourcing your workload.

Seamstress / Tailor

If you have a passion for sewing, you should consider turning your hobby into a profession. Start by making a few small cushions or if you are more advanced, clothes to sell and test the market. Consider taking an online class in alterations to expand your knowledge, you could practice on your own clothes and then family and friends and eventually new customers.

Blogging

How to start a blog

Blogging was the first business model to grace the internet and it is still going strong today. If you love writing and sharing tips or advice on your hobbies or interest, then blogging might be just for you. Blogging can become a full-time job, but it takes time and a lot of dedication. Start by treating it as a hobby and the growth and business side will come naturally. If you are serious about blogging you will need to have an understanding of techniques used such as google analytics, keywords, and digital marketing. Find a niche in what to write about, the main subject people tend to write about are beauty, finance, and fitness, if that’s your interest then that’s fine you just need to learn how to make your blog stand out from the rest. Take a look at similar blogs and see what you can do differently. Take a look at similar blogs and see what you can do differently. Once you have your idea, look at creating your own website through platforms such as Wix or WordPress. For extra income on your site, think about adding adverts to your page, however, make sure you don’t overcrowd your webpage as this will deter people from visiting.

Remember investing your money into a new business can be risky, come up with a business plan, and act sensibly with your spending. You will also need to have the relevant insurance and ensure you are running your business legally, you don’t want to end up in a troublesome situation and have bail bonds against your name. So ensure that you do all the research when planning to start your own business. While you’re here check out our Tips For Creating A Mobile Business.
