Let Calmness Descend In Your Concrete Jungle Office

Consistency is a concept that leaders want to understand the most. No matter how lofty and well-planned your ideas are, the thing that can put a spanner in the works is your employees. Your employees are not robots, they cannot be programmed to give you the same amount of energy, determination and quality, each and every day. They will have good days and bad days. There will be times when you cannot fathom how the same person that gave you incredible work last week, is the person that has made many mistakes this week. It’s the nature of the human condition, something that business owners want to understand. A solution that has shown the best results at combating a lack of consistency, is a calming and sustainable workplace environment.

Shut out the noise

If you work in a very heavily populated city, there will be a lot of noise pollution. However, there’s also a lot of waste pollution with car fumes rising up through the concrete jungle. So opening the window for some fresh air will just make things doubly worse. Instead, you should seek to place sound barrier panels around your building and or office floor. These sound panels can be fitted as a separate structure that will encompass your building or into the wall panels if there is sufficient steel structure support. It uses a high-density, UV and color-stabilized synthetic shell premium sound absorption material to block out as much noise as possible. This will create a quiet, calming office atmosphere and not make it so obvious that your employees are working in a crowded skyscraper city. The positive effect on their mental health is not to be underestimated.

Fresh air and refreshment

When you’ve been sitting down for a few hours, pouring over lots of information and making many calls, you need to have a 15-minute break to go on further, with the same amount of energy. A great air-conditioning unit isn’t enough, you need to have clean air being pumped around the office. Call in a ventilation expert to clean the vents of any dust and or germs. Clean fresh air and nothing else, is what your employees should be breathing in for 8-plus hours. A little refreshment will go a long way. Make sure that your water cooler keeps the water cool and doesn’t become room temperature which makes employees not want to drink and keep themselves hydrated.

A nice scent

Every office has to reflect the culture of the company and part of that is having a unique office scent. Some companies will use incense sticks to fill the room with an aroma that calms their employees. While others will use natural oil sprays of different scent mixtures. Either way, select a scent that has been proven to be soothing and allow employees to think calmly during stressful moments. Bowls of potpourri places in the corners of the office would be a cheap but very effective solution.

Creating a great workplace atmosphere is difficult to get right. Drowning out the sound from the outside is definitely one of the better solutions.
